Logic’s designers are working closely with the Center for Offsite Construction to finalize the technical specifications for how utilities enter a dwelling unit. This allows Logic to build the LC1 Coupling that will connect all utilities from the host building to the prefabricated module
General specifications
Logic is currently in collaboration with the Center for Offsite Construction to develop, test, and build a standard for the LC1 that will include these features:
- Be open-source
- Ensure wide adoption by following ANSI essential consensus procedures
- Incorporate existing plumbing, power, data connectors (without creating new connector types)
- Define physical attributes for unit connections (height, location, orientation)
- Create reliability for designers, builders, and lenders
